Plan-limit messages
What each limit message means when SYNCDATE says a plan has no room for an account, sync, calendar or feature, and what you can do.
Last updated
A limit message means what you tried to save needs more than your plan gives. Nothing is deleted or changed when you see one. Fix it by removing something, choosing a smaller setup, or moving to a plan that has room. The actual numbers for each plan are on plans and limits and on the pricing page. They are not repeated here, and the message itself shows your own count and your plan's allowance.
Sync limit reached
"Sync limit reached." You already have as many syncs as your plan allows. Delete a sync you no longer use, or upgrade. One sync can hold more than one calendar pair, so it is often possible to fold two syncs into one. See what counts as a calendar, a sync and an account.
Account limit reached
"Account limit reached." You have connected as many accounts as your plan allows, so a new one can't be added. Disconnect an account you don't use, or upgrade. After a connection attempt you may see "You're already at your plan's account limit. Disconnect an account first, or upgrade to connect more."
Calendar limit reached
"Calendar limit reached." The calendars across all your syncs add up to your plan's total. The message says what the total would become if you saved. Remove a calendar from a sync, or upgrade. Calendars count once per sync they appear in.
Per-sync calendar limit exceeded
"Per-sync calendar limit exceeded." One sync has more calendars than your plan allows in a single sync. Take calendars out of this sync, or split it into two. A Mirror allows fewer calendars than a Push. See Mirror or Push.
This setup is too heavy for your current plan
"Reduce calendars, switch to one-way, or upgrade." The combination of calendars and two-way links is more than your plan can run. Remove calendars, make part of it one-way, or upgrade.
Rules need the Plus plan
"Rules need the Plus plan." Rules, and Custom on privacy and free or busy, aren't on your plan. Use a fixed choice instead, or upgrade. See custom text and rules.
Custom text is not available on your plan
Your plan can't use Custom text for this field. Pick a fixed choice, or upgrade. See plans and limits for which fields are covered.
Per-calendar sync settings require the Pro plan
Different settings for each calendar in a sync need the Pro plan. Use the same settings for every calendar in the sync, or upgrade.
Sync horizon requires an upgrade
"Sync horizon of this length requires an upgrade. Your plan allows less." You asked to sync further ahead than your plan allows. Choose a shorter range, or upgrade. See how far ahead sync goes.
Removing SYNCDATE branding requires an upgrade
Your plan keeps the SYNCDATE branding on copies. Leave the setting on, or upgrade.
MCP access requires a paid plan
Reading and managing events through an AI assistant needs a paid plan. The platform tools that manage SYNCDATE itself are included on every plan. See connect an AI assistant.
A sync was paused when your plan changed
When a plan goes down, syncs over the new limits are paused instead of deleted. See Paused — plan changed.
